I think we had some mobile games adaptations this year already. This is another one.
Opening song while generic has quite good execution. And that's literally all I can say so far. I do not see anything "damning" about it, but I also do not see anything "special" or "daring" or otherwise "gripping". It's somehow in a peculiar position, where just one small event in the story can bring it to glory or down the abyss.
We'll see how it goes.
Episode 2:
So... This Kasel guy was not only able to notice a flying arrow, but also outrun it, huh?
Otherwise it does looks surprisingly good still. I like the music in 2nd episode (did not catch my attention in 1st one), I like the weight of the fights. I like Cleo and that black mage/witch/demon. There are clearly several deep subplots here, as well. They may get over-cliched, though, still it's too early to say, but there is promise of good story.
Episode 3:
This was bad and boring. It broke good dynamics we had previous 2 episodes. I understand, that we needed some "lore", but it was given too foolhardy. And it also, kind of re-established the motivation for the journey, which was not exactly needed. I will give it 1 more episode. If it returns to the quality of 1st 2 episodes - will continue, otherwise - nah.
Episode 4:
I was not able to even finish this episode. They ruined it after all. They had such good dynamics with a sense of something serious brewing behind the scenes, some sense of danger. 3rd episode was boring, but potentially necessary for explaining lore (although clearly did not explain all). This one... Just plain boring. Still some lore is given, but sense of danger is completely lost now (especially when Chibi appears). And they seem to have forgotten dark elves, as well. Just some useless walking. 1 very short and anti-climatic fight did no spice things up either. So much potential lost, I am sad.
