Alternative universe where Nezuko became evil. Because it was her who loved Tanjiro, and not vice versa. Of course, it's not the only difference, but it's difficult not to compare brother-sister relationship to Demon Slayer, since in both cases it's kind of a trigger for the story.
Jokes aside, though, this definitely has a much more "grounded" feeling, there is some extra "weight", and less "positivity". I also really enjoyed the story-telling itself, since it was much more visual, that you may even realize, with bits of information shared without anyone talking. The timeskip was a bit "meh", because unlike first small ones there was no text about the year (or did I miss it?) and thus it felt really sudden to me. The fights also had good weight to them, although I can't say they were particularly exciting, and that's where Demon Slayer definitely wins. Side-characters are a bit more believable here, though.
My biggest concern is that now the story seems to switch to a [more] modern era, and things can get bad pretty quickly from there, depending on how that would be spun, and how Jinta has changed through-out the years. We'll now next week, I guess.
