It's Hero Academia, but without the Academia. Having read the manga it's... Neither better nor worse, it has its moments of both downs and ups. First episode looks quite decent. I feel like they are going for a more comic-book style with larger outlines and with the pop-up texts. Outlines actually do make things slightly better, IMHO, but the texts - they annoy me a bit, since they seem too "comical" (pardon the pun) and out of place. Pop Step is cute, though, and I definitely want to see how they adapt Knuckleduster's story, since it had some brutal moments, but that's probably for the 2nd season, since I doubt they will reach that point in 13 episodes.
