Watching first episode of recent Moonrise TV show reminded me of Total Recall, so I decided to rewatch it. It still holds, 35 years later. Yes, compared to some other more recent movies, one can say that it's somewhat simplistic, but perhaps it's part of the charm. It's not trying to be more than it is, while still delivering all that you would expect from a good story: action, love, loyalty, betrayal, striving for the betterment of oneself and human kind in general... Even special effects here still look good thanks to most of them being practical ones partially or fully. So if you have not watched it yet - what are you waiting for? It's even available in 4K now.
