This movie is largely forgettable. It's not as bad as a lot of reviews say, at least if you do not expect it to be something that Marvel movies have never been. It is relatively fun. It does not have the same effect as first Iron Man or Avengers movies, of course, but it does have its moments.
The planet where everyone sings was an interesting idea, albeit underplayed. The "Stop running and let the kitties eat you" was definitely funny, and probably the highlight of the whole movie. It somehow reminded me of "The 10th Kingdom" mini-series even. Probably because it is also light-hearted and has magic.
If only it had just a little bit more underneath that all. You know... Proper character progression, serious topics presented in a way, that made you think... But, again, Marvel movies weren't really about that to begin with. Sad that they lost any semblance of though all-together, though.
