There has been some hype about this show. After finishing it, I feel like it was mostly for the sake of the author, Akira Toriyama, who has passed in March 2024. It's not bad, no, but it is extremely underdeveloped. Both the world and character are really flat. Which is sad, because I feel like there is a lot of promise in the world, that's being presented to us. Unfortunately, a lot of things are left unexplained about its rules, and because of it it felt less immersive to me. It was relatively fun to watch it because of pacing and some of the action scenes, that were often silly, but well directed. I was also annoyed by how all characters were shown with their mouths opened most of the time, whether it was warranted or not. It has certain style to it, though, I'll give it that.
