Chapter 88:
I think that the author thought of the concept, but never bothered of thinking through the story as a whole. Or maybe they got bored? I mean the basic idea is interesting, and I would even dare say somewhat fresh, but some time down the middle of the story it just goes downhill at blinding speed, with the last 20 or so chapters being a complete mess.
Yes, I understand, that some of the issues might have been caused by poor translation of some of the chapters, but dialogues often did not make sense even in chapters with good translation. And there was a lot of repetition, which was not adding anything. The rules also became too fluid without and even did not follow through with that fluidity, at least not entirely. It also had a very forced happy ending.
But what's worse, is that quality of the art degraded, too. Especially faces. It felt like there were just a couple of expressions that were being shared across all characters, and in some scenes it was next to impossible for me to understand who exactly is shown. Especially difficult when there were flashbacks or flashforwards or dream-like scenes.
I think we need a re-mastered edition of this, which would rewrite everything properly, and make characters more... Human, I guess.
