Surprisingly, feels quite fresh. The premise seems somewhat similar to Dead Mount Death Play, in a sense, that a powerful entity is killed, and then gets reincarnated into the future, specifically into a world similar to modern one. But I think this show handles things a bit better. Firstly, the fact that it's not just modern day, but future day, and it is a result of a fusion of 2 worlds, probably give a bit more freedom to the narrative, while keeping it a bit more... "Grounded".

Secondly, the reincarnated entity is not all-powerful, with no restrictions. Polka practically did not have any, besides maybe mana amount which was very obscure in that show. Here it's much more unambiguous: the guy is simply too slow compared to everyone else. And also needs to start from a very small base with just 1 supporter instead of a whole house with lots of allies.

The way characters are introduced is also better. There are fewer of them, and they feel more 3D, that there is more to them, that may be relevant to the story that's about to unfold, rather than them being added just for the sake of being added, because why not. This also gives the show a more "grounded" feeling. It may ruin it in the very next episode, though. For now it's a pretty decent start.

Episode 2:

So... Hataraku Maou-sama but in future, with more magic and potentially a bit more grounded? Although considering the ending of the 2nd episode... Who knows? If it will turn into out-right comedy next episode, that will not look good, to be honest.

Episode 6:

The fight was not particularly flashy, but it still felt very satisfying. Purposeful. Even managed to expand on both characters without turning into like 10 episodes.
