Gen Z reinvents Freddy Kruger. I'm kidding, but the theme is really similar, since you die if you sleep, and dreams are very important in the story. It is much more grounded and "sciency", though even though science is somewhat questionable at time, still. But it was a good watch. The overall atmosphere somehow reminded me of Stephen King's Langoliers, although I am not sure how exactly. Possibly by the fact, that the whole world kind of falls away leaving only a bunch of characters, that need to survive the abnormal circumstances. Dialogs at some points felt a bit subpar, but overall the story was delivered quite nicely, and the way they suggested 2nd season was pretty cool, too. If you are in Halloween mood, this is something you should try watching.
