Another one that makes no sense to me from beginning. The guy could transfer bentos into the "dream", but somehow never transferred his sword or anything else really? And did not even try to? But, ok, maybe it's just one-way transfer. But why did he not try something besides the bento? And if it's just bento - why is it just bento? But that I can ignore.
What I can't ignore is the selective vision from the elf. She never questioned that plastic container for the bento, and I doubt they had plastic in that fantasy world. But, ok, maybe the guy has explained it somehow before, like "magic". Why was not she questioning anything, and I mean anything, in the apartment she appeared in? She was not concerned with a lamp, with digital clock, and I guess she did not move around the apartment why guy was out, and did not see any tech? Not a TV, not a washing machine, not even a toilet. I guess she did not even try looking down from the balcony to see cars there.
I am reminded of the old movie "Les visiteurs" with Jean Reno: the guys had much more realistic reactions to everything. I mean everything. It made sense there, since they were transferred to practically a fantastic different world. Yes, for the elf here at least magic and monsters exist, but the rest should be a shock. Not just her riding inside a car, but everything. If they went for more realism here, it would have had more "oomph". As is this is just another case of Japan exporting their culture. It's fine, but just not my thing in this kind of flavor.
