Is it me or it's worse than Madame Web even? At least I managed to watched that one till the end almost without fast-forward. This one... I managed around 15 minutes.
They s ay that first 8 minutes of this movie are good, but when I was watching them, I did not find them good at all. Couldn't they even find Russians to speak Russian? I am pretty sure there are enough Russians in US for this thing. I could barely understand what most of them were saying, including the Kraven. And when I could understand them, half of what they were saying would not be how Russians would speak.
What's worse it felt like character butchering. I am not overly familiar with Kraven in comics, but to me it looked like he was a relatively complex character, that's why he has been both a villain, a hero and an anti-hero. He also actually loved animals and hunting (no matter how contradictory it may sound).
This one... Clearly not a villain, because why would one want to delve into darker parts of MCU? He is essentially forced into hunting, because it's the only thing that a boy needs, the moment he is told his mother is dead. And he does not even speak Russian with his family, which does not make sense. But that's not all: he also runs up the walls the same way as Morbius did. Which should not be the case, because that were not his powers in the comics.
Yeah, I could not bear to watch it further after these "amazing 8 minutes". I guess for some people it can be an eye-candy, because the guy stripped in those 8 minutes even though he was in an obviously cold airplane.
