Place of Birth: Homeland has since been engulfed by the Garlean Empire. Described as a meager land where crops struggled to grow amidst the cold.

Background: Born the third son son of a minor noble household in lands east of Eorzea. The Valmont Household originated in Ishgard but fell from grace, going into exile and resettling lands that today are part of the Garlean Empire. Vauron was trained since a young age to wield a sword and later a staff when studying to enter the clergy. But with the rise of the Empire, he was sent away from his ancestral lands lest he be killed or conscripted by the Imperial Legion. Ten years later he would arrive in Gridania, having worked as a healer on trade routes and ships to keep ahead of the Empire. Arriving as a novice conjurer, Vauron hoped to improve his skills with the aid of the fabled Padjal. His story has since then taken an odd number of turns...
