Because her prey is usually running from her. Even if they don't have knees Sorah will shoot in a location where she thinks they would be.

A once devout cultist to the Lambs of Dalamud before Bahamut decended down to purge Eorzea of it's filth and injustice! During the battle, where terror reigned down in fire and the mighty dragon soared across the night sky cleansing the world with fire Sorah stood with her hands held high and her robe being blown back in the wind. Terrified screams surrounded her as the populous ran for their lives but she stood there amongst them looking up at the elder primal and all his glory. It was at this point, when her maniacal laughter reached it peak Hydaelyn stepped in and threw a rock at her corrupted child effectively silencing her for the time being. A dink to the head as Sorah would later call it, leaving her to awaken somewhere around Wellwick Wood in which her amnesiatic journey of her life would begin.
