Claire is an accomplished swordmaiden, and quite talented with pistols and other small firearms. She is also familiar with hand-to-hand combat, and the use of two-handed weaponry. Although it seems she is not very good at it, Claire can heal herself when necessary.

Her particular fighting style is a bit different from that commonly seen in Eorzea, combining elements from many different schools with her unique brand of combat. More recently, it has been revealed that this is due to being something of what's commonly known as a Red Mage.
