Ark Tranquil Celestine Gainsborough is a very cheerful and brave adventurer who loves freedom, friendship, adventuring, and wants to seek power to protect the ones he loves. He loves searching for the Soul Crystals of all the disciplines of War, Magic, Hand and Land all over Eorzea to become immensely powerful. The two reasons why is because of being a part of the Scions to help fight the Ascians and Garlemeld. The second is because of his family: his Hyur grandparents, Serenity and Cedric Tranquil, his Hyur/Miqo'te siblings Erika, Zen, Marion, Nacht, Mao, Xia & Aria Gainsborough, his aunt and mother's sister, Mira Tranquil, his mother, a Midlander Hyur named Elaine Gainsborough and his father, a Keeper of the Moon Miqo'te named Aerik Gainsborough; who are still alive somewhere in Eorzea when he was separated from them. Even now....he still thinks of his mother, his father, his sister, his aunt and his grandparents in each and every of his adventures, along with the rest of his other family relatives. And he one day hopes to be reunited with all of them. He treasures friendship and family very much; as he thinks of the Scions of the Seventh Dawn as his second family and goes through a lot of hardships to go protect them. He is always an optimist, looking at life on the brighter side of things; but he does accept the realistic part of it, being both a realist and an optimist. He's known to have incredible high intelligence; and has been reading and studying on science, magic, Aetherology, Magitek Technology, gathering and crafting, along with being very skilled in the art of war as if it were natural for him. He loves doing a good challenge when it comes to these things, and gets immersed in it very easily. He has an incredibly strong sense of justice and a very strong sense of empathy to his friends; even to enemies like Yotsuyu and Emet Selch. He helps others because it's natural to him, by saying, "Do I need to have a reason to help others? I am a White Mage! And it's my job to heal both the body and heart from any and all kinds of pain! From both our enemies and from our past!" Ever since he chose the path of the White Mage, he gained a lot of friends and allies in his journeys, obtained new Soul Crystals, bested the most strongest and powerful of opponents and foes, and gained an outstanding reputation as Eorzea/Etheirys' savior and Warrior of Light. When his enemies go too far with their wrongdoings or if his friends go far with the teasing, he gets serious and enraged; showing an immensely powerful dark aura and red glowing eyes of sheer intimidation via being an immensely powerful Black Mage, an intimidating, powerful Dark knight and an invincible Warrior. Making anyone feel scared and immobilized by his anger and power in an instant. But despite having that, he is a very cheerful, smart, kind-hearted man who will take a stand to go against those who would hurt his "ultimate treasures"; and seek out more new adventures in his life.
