RP character backstory:
Minako was an arcanist with minimal power. She wasn't a prodigy by any means. Before the calamity she was just a simple student of magic, but once the calamity occurred disaster struck. Her close friend, a Nu Mou healer Fe'Linka and herself were trapped in a cave. They both were severely injured by a cave in but Fe'Linka spent the last of her energy to save Minako's life. That day she decided to take up her mantle, promising to pass on her kindness and beautiful outlook on life and became herself a conjurer at her first opportunity. Fe'Linka's death still haunts her some nights, giving her final breath to save her. It cuts into her heart when she fails because in her heart she feels she is not just failing her companions and herself but also failing Fe'Linka too. So she tries her best to prevent pain among her friends.
After some time seeing how war and violence was so common in the post calamity Eorzea she and her friend; Shielding Dragonfly a Hellsguard Roe with a mutual friend Hilda and a fellow arcanist Vantelme decided to create their own company of Chocobo mounted Knights.
Personality: Shy and meek, having taken the mantle of leadership more as a convenience than anything else she works democratically, her decisions being made as a whole by the party of knights, though mostly decisions made by herself and/or Shielding due to their more common investment in the company of knights. Vantelme being a chaser of gambling thrills, and Hilda being a simple Miqo'te who enjoys fishing over most things.
Minako is often more quiet than she should be though one feature that made her seem more appropriate for leadership was her reasonableness, and her ability to calm the fires of discontent between Shielding and Vantelme's clashing strategic opinions and her ability to calm the conflict and find the combination of their two sets of ideas that works the most efficiently. Not that she's likely to admit this herself however, and only knows it to be so because it was pointed out to her by Shielding herself.
When not in conflict she enjoys searching for buried treasure and finding minerals and gems to create beautiful jewellery for herself and her friends.
