Last interview was conducted on . This is what adventurer had to say during it:

Early Life
Born in 1557, Mael Muire was found as an orphan by the Sharlayan scholar, Aelith Muire, a researcher of the calamities. "Granny Muire" as Mael would call her, in a small cottage in the South Shroud would instruct Mael in the arts of Arcanima, Sage craft, conjury, thaumaturgy, alchemy, sewing and baking. Mael became an avid historian in her own right, and began devouring her grandmother's research into the calamities. From oral histories, to complex aetheorological studies, Mael and Granny Muire would often spend hours of the day discussing everything that came before...and everything that would come next.

1572 - The Calamity
As Dalamud began to fall and the realm became unstable, Granny Muire's health began to fail. Mael was gifted a small pink chocobo, Geilis, to be a companion and a protector as the world fell to chaos. As the calamity built, and raged and ceased, Mael and her grandmother, shared what little time was left together. Mael awoke to a realm reborn, alone.

Years 0-5
Granny Muire had one final wish for her granddaughter, and that was to go out into the world to seek knowledge and adventure, and that's what she did. Leaving Gridania behind, Mael and Geilis set out together into a world forever changed.

Into the Golmore Jungle
Sneaking through imperial territories with huge ears and a bright pink chocobo might not have been the sixteen year old's best idea, but her Granny taught her well; "when in doubt, throw a fireball at their arsehole." From Gridania to Golmore, Mael's journey brought her into contact with many under the pains of imperial rule. She endeavoured to help everyone she could, and they in turn helped her on her way.

Mael had never really felt a need to find out who her birth parents were, Granny Muire was everything to her, but she wanted to know more about her people, and their culture. After a long, often painful journey, Mael arrived at Eruyt only to be turned away. An outsider, and a child besides, she had no place amongst the warriors of Eruyt.

A Story for Another Time
What happened next is a defining tale of heroism, sacrifice, love and loss that would shape Mael's future in ways she would never expect. But this must be a tale for another time. (Because we have a limited word count).

Year 5 - To Eorzea Once More
Mael attempted to join to the Studium in Sharlayan, to follow in her grandmother's footsteps. She sent letter after letter and was met with rejection after rejection. After the final letter, which tersely read "We at the Studium do not care whose granddaughter you happen to be. Whether you were the granddaughter of Aelith Muire (who stole my first edition of "Sparks Flying: Love in the Second Umbral Calamity" and I would like it back) or Nyunkrepf Nyunkrepfsyn himself, we will entertain no further applications from you.

Mael boarded a ship for Limsa Lominsa, intent on joining the Arcanist's guild and the rest, as they say, is history.
