The Beginnings of Aerbote
Born on the Isle of Solitude, Aerbote is known as the strongest, most feared martial artist. It is fabled that he once poked a man who was threatening him in the middle of his forehead. His friends held him back and the fight was diffused. Later that day the man dropped dead with a burn mark where the Grandmaster touched him.
His brother, Nern, was also a fierce warrior that fought with two katana swords. After their parents passed away, Nern left at the age of 17. Last that was heard of him was that his small ship capsized as he was leaving Solitude. At age 23 he returned late one winter night covered in cuts so deep they weren't sure he would survive. During a month of going in and out of a coma the medicine men fed him the monastery's best of elixirs. When these things would digest in him the flames keeping his room lit would alter in color and brightness. When he was well enough to stand the ground began to shake as he took his first steps. The door to his room flew open and all you could see were two red eyes beating in the darkness. In the still of the frigid winter air he spilt the blood of most of the monks until he made his way to the center of the monastery where Aerbote stood with his tai chi blade. In the thin mountain air the two masters lept foward and cut eachother to pieces.
As they lay dying in the courtyard snow fell on them. With Nern's dying breaths he spoke, "in æternum vive. Lahney Ulse!" In a flash of Ki, Nern's body was gone leaving behind glowing pearl white Draconic symbols.
In the burst of Ki energy Aerbote was launched so far into the sky with such force that he almost crossed through the outer most layer of our mesosphere. As he breathed in more O3 molecules he began to crystallize. Aerbote took a full lotus position and froze surrounded by a 3 foot layer of ice. Luckily the gravitational pull of the planet was strong enough to pull him back toward the surface. As he began his descent through the inner layers of the stratosphere he accelerated past what the human body could handle and burst into flames.
In this moment of desperation for survival he found within himself something that felt new. A power that was beyond that of man. In this moment his body had illuminated in a pearl white light to the point where you could only see a humanoid shape. This shape slowly descended to 3 feet above the ground. As the light faded it revealed a Golden Dragonborn with the physique and even some facial features of Grandmaster Aerbote.
