Visiting the page every 24 hours can help prioritize the update, but generally it happens within minutes. Once it's applied, you will see appropriate message. Note, that you may need to force-refresh the page (clear browser cache) to see the change. This also does not imply instant removal of the page from Google search results, and link to profile may still be present on groups' pages (same as with Lodestone).

This is what adventurer had to say during it:
Lanaya Versace never asked for any of this.
Born in a small village in the Kingdom of Dalmasca, Lanaya was named after a mysterious assassin who had saved their village before she was born. Though she never ventured to the outside world, she was content living with her family and preparing to become a salve-maker. While her village often heard tales of imperial conflagrations and Garlean magitek destroying other villages, it seemed that the assassin from years ago had deterred potential invaders.
On the day of her rite of passage, Lanaya excitedly set off to catch the Vorpal Bunny. Traversing the woods, it wasn't until nightfall that she finally found one to bring back to the village. On her way back, a sense of foreboding nagged at her but she quickly dismissed it. As she approached the village, however, her heart sank.
It was an image that would be etched forever in her mind. Her village had gone up in flames. The smell of smoke and the screams of agony overwhelmed her senses. She raced home but it was already too late. The sight of the lifeless bodies of her mother and sisters consumed her with a dizzying sense of rage. Picking up her bow, she finally understood why all Viera were trained to fight.
Filled with fury, Lanaya turned to leave her house when she saw a familiar face. It was her childhood friend Petra and a few others from the village. Before Lanaya had a chance to call out to them, however, they suddenly swarmed her and began swinging their weapons. Lanaya felt like she was losing her mind. Why are the villagers attacking me? Was there some sort of betrayal? As she hobbled together the strength to fend all of them off, the horrific truth dawned upon her. Petra was swinging her sword like a wild animal, thrashing and yelling with no light in her eyes. Lanaya realized that the village had been exposed to Mist and it had sent them into a berserk state.
If it had been one or two villagers, Lanaya could've subdued them. But whoever had done this was cruel and calculating: all of the villagers had entered Mist frenzy and there was no one to slaughter but themselves. Lanaya desperately pleaded and reasoned with them to no avail. With the last of her strength dissipating, she reluctantly fired her arrows into her fellow villagers. As the air grew silent, Lanaya tearfully sat down beside a dying Petra. Holding her friend in her arms, Lanaya asked who had done this. With a pained expression, Petra managed a single word: Garleans. With that, she closed her eyes one final time and Lanaya was all alone in the world.
Swearing to avenge her family and friends, Lanaya walked away from the ashes of her home with a frozen heart. Setting off for Gridania, Lanaya sought out the Archer's Guild to hone her skills. She then tattooed her face to cover up the scars from that fateful night. She never planned to leave her village or learn how to fight. But the Garleans took all of it: her home, her family, and her future. The only thing left is revenge.
