Cid Heinwald is a character from a D&D 5th edition game with a heavy homebrew Final Fantasy component. In that game, he is a heretic white mage and ""amateur"" anatomist who has a penchant for grave robbing and finding the 'useful parts' of any monster the party defeats.

In Eorzea, this translated into him being a Duskwight, familiar with the tunnels under the Twelveswood, a simple man who enjoys the smell of freshly-turned earth and dried firewood. He is civil, with a dry sense of humor, and a tendency to look after the unfortunate and down-trodden.
