Blitz was born as a Garlean commoner and assigned to the Eorzean legion to earn his rights as a citizen. A chronic jokester, and often the heart of his squad, his good humor and quick wit were often instrumental in maintaining morale in his unit. At least until they failed in a mission and were ordered to be decimated. Unwilling to take the life of any of his squad mates, he refused and was jailed for the crime of insubordination. A summary execution drew near, and were it not for his squad who orchestrated a chance for his escape he would have been killed by the Garlean machine.
Jumping onto the first ship he could, he sailed to Limsa Lominsa and sold his skills with an axe as an adventurer and marauder. Though his good humor remained at some level, his countenance became more dour and stoic. even at time reveling in the violence as it gave him reprieve from the sins committed in Garlemalds name. This continued until a chance encounter left him with the soul crystal of the dark knight. His own dark side, fed by his own inner darkness, built by years of service to Garlemald's callous war machine sent him down the path of the dark knight akin to a fish in water. The flames of the abyss within grew, though he never forgot his truest convictions. In the end he seeks to protect others, and in some ways reverse the atrocities he had committed one ward at a time.
What does he seek now? what is left for him? His adventures in Eorzea and beyond are yet to be written, and with it perhaps another purpose will become clear. until then he lives by his convictions; cutting a red path through those that offend them.
