A Drahn from a small coastal village near Kholusia who lived a simple life as a hunter, fisher and cook,he was a solitary and shy man who was not interested in marriage or children of his own, yet was loved by the local children and families as a kind and caring teacher and provider.

When the flood of light came, nearly all of those in his village were wiped out or turned into Sin Eaters, including himself. However, the gift of his echo allowed him to retain enough consciousness to rebel, and to find a way to escape by crossing dimensions to the Source. There, he vowed to become a strong enough warrior to return someday to his home world and stop the flood, avenge his fallen neighbors, and save those who are left. Unfortunately, most of his memory was lost in the process, and only recently he recovered his own real name - Yalden.

He took up the role of a lancer/dragoon since he was already adept at hunting and spear-fishing with a similar weapon, and spends a good deal of time enjoying his life as a fisherman and chef. He likes to give gifts to others, especially young and new adventurers, and is unsure whether his journey will ever take him back home. Either way, he is happy to live on and protect and provide for those in his new home.

He has recently opened a restaurant of his own in the Mists of Limsa Lominsa.
