The Abbreviated History of Sombra Blackwood

Pre-Seventh Umbral Era
Warrior of Light Sombra Blackwood was born Lyot (meaning: one who fills lives of everyone with light) Eruyt in the deepest reaches of Golmore Jungle. As a young kit, Sombra heard incredible tales of expatriate Fran Eruyt which sparked her curiosity to explore and gather knowledge from the furthest reaches of the star.

Seventh Umbral Era - Year 5
When she reached her 28th year, Sombra abandoned her life as a forest-dwelling Viera and started her life anew in the city-state of Gridania. With this decision, she adopted a new identity - Sombra (meaning: Shadow) Blackwood - which alludes both to her spiritual duality and forest-dwelling roots. Though the journey to Gridania was long and arduous, Sombra revelled in the wondrous sights and travelers she met along the way.

Seventh Astral Era ~
Sombra fights for the safety of the inhabitants of the star as both a white mage and a dancer.

When she isn’t saving Eorzea, Sombra enjoys crafting, gathering, and traveling across the star. She currently studies alchemy, botany, mining, and the culinary arts.
