To an untrained eye Z’eszti Sziv looks like a seeker Mi’qote like any other. Dark black hair with blond highlights, sleek soft body, and blue/ green heterochrome eyes.
However, when she was young (younger than she remembers) she was adopted into a Gradanian Hyur family. This couple could not have children of their own due to familial secret. Given this secret, Z’eszti has taken up a typical Mi’qote name to ensure that it is kept. Beyond that name she holds no affiliation or interest in any tribe and if she’s honest isn’t found of their patriarchal hierarchies anyway.
Her adoptive father is a marksman of great skill, particularly with newly designed automatic machine guns. Z'eszti continues this tradition though she prefers the bow, a far more practical and refined ranged weapon in her estimation.
Her mother is a trained historian and scholar. She is amongst the foremost experts on Dalmascan History and the various Ivalice tales. The line between history and literature is far more blurred than many realize, often with the latter being amongst the few sources scholars have to fill in this ancient history. It is her hope to one day unify these tales with this history. Though Z'eszti herself has so far neglected the scholarly arts, she does include her mother's research in her spoony bard storytelling.
Beyond being a Twin Adder Second Lieutenant, Scion, and Adventurer she also holds the title of Sky Pirate. Ever since she was young, whilst reading stories about the fictional sky pirates of Arcadia, she has been enthralled with dreams cast amongst the skies. It is little wonder then that she took to Leofard and his fellow redbills.
Recently Z’eszti has taken a keen interest in the history and culture of Hingashi and has been slowly learning the language. Perhaps there is a future scholar in her after all...
