A self-proclaimed ronin who spends his days wandering Kugane. He is good-natured with a breezy personality, and easily excited by new things. His hobbies include sword collecting (he has a sizable collection), flirting (he can’t resist when an attractive person catches his eye) and picnicking under the trees on a warm day. He tends to use his lighthearted temperament as a facade to mask his inner struggles, and hates to make people worry on his account.
Raised in Kugane, Banri is knowledgeable about all aspects of Hingan culture, but he has little knowledge of the world west of Doma. As a result he is always eager to learn more about the outside world and gets excited when encountering people from other lands. He picked up much of his knowledge of other cultures from listening to well-traveled merchants, but he doesn’t always get things exactly right. (ex. He will be eager to demonstrate his knowledge of “Eorzean” greetings by vigorously shaking your hand with way more force than necessary).
