Soon, my subscription will expire. Vex's already has, so to spend some final time in Final Fantasy, I went around getting some screenshots commemorating the journey of my character. I wish I had thought to sooner, Vex was with me nearly every step of the way and there are some memories I can't screenshot now.
My journey began getting completely lost in Uldah. I completely embraced the newbie feeling of running around, barely reading instructions, and just exploring the city. For a while I hyperfocused on the weavers and was hoping to become one, but that meant leveling up what seemed like a lot at the time. So I went to my job headquarters as a Thaumaturge intending to level up into a Black Mage.
After leveling up through the stories, hunting in Thanalan, and doing fates, I began experimenting with other jobs. Specifically, I wanted to see what the other magic was like and Vex had told me about Gridania, and I love trees, so I switched to playing Conjurer to become a White Mage instead. After that I went to Limsa Lominsa and found the spellcaster that suited me best, from Arcanist to Scholar.
That's how my journey began. I have since leveled all base jobs to 30 and got the soulstone for the next bit. From Lancer to Dragoon, Archer to Bard, Gladiator to Paladin, Maurader to Warrior, Rogue to Ninja, Pugilist to Monk, and I unlocked Blue Mage but haven't actually done much with that one yet. And somewhere in the midst of all that, Vex helped me turn my chocobo a beautiful shade of red. I even managed to reach the rank of 2nd Lieutenant and set up my room in the company HQ.
There's a lot left to do and a lot unsaid. Vex and I enjoyed running dungeons, a few raids, we killed Odin together after only three wipes or so, and I think we made it to the 40th floor of Palace of the Dead together. We had a lot of fun and plan on having a lot more, when we're able to resubscribe we'll even look into getting married in game. I also want to set up some dungeon and raid runs with my FC so I can show our friends how much progress I've made as a healer. I'm excited for the day we're able to return.
