Traits
- Quick Learner - Being on a frontier means grabbing the closest weapon at hand and making it work. He's quick on the uptake for things he hasn't used before.
- Self Sustaining - Desire to emulate the wanderer has led him to learn minor magic that can keep him warm and fed in the wild.
- Magic Crafter - His parents are skilled crafters and he received training in crafting early in life
- Militia Veteran - Shaaloani doesn't have much in the way of organized law enforcement, so the citizens had to serve that role when it was needed.
- Merchant - His current occupation may be a sellsword, but understanding of trade and value of goods is his stronger suit.

Physical Description -
- Clothing is in good shape. Weathered but functional
- Appears friendly, being raised by tradespeople and having worked in that line and as a merchant means he's not antisocial
- Doesn't scream "greenhorn!" with posture or other signs. While not some incredible warrior of light or anything, he knows which way the weapons point.
- Normally seen carrying a codex and/or nouliths. Will grab something nearby if available and the situation demands it.

Some additional notes - Life is pretty good. Sure there are always looming calamites, but that's the warrior of light's job, not his. He handles the angry ratel pack outside of town, or transporting goods across the wilds, or fulfilling orders for goods. He took advantage of the Admiral's program of giving out islands for development so he always has a spot to unwind and when the whim takes him or his coffers go empty he goes back out looking for work. He isn't looking to be your knight in shining armor or amazing hero, just being the person who handles the job is fine by him.
