Arrived in New Gridania in search of her father, the young W'ri finds herself involved in conflicts of a land unknown to her, but that she inexplicably desires to protect, as if she were born for that, as if she had a gift for it. Her skill with the bow and arrow allows her to overcome difficult battles while the determination in researching her father, W'vehs, made her to find him in the O'Ghomaro Mines, during the attempt to stop the summoning of the primal Titan. Together, also thanks to the help of Scions, with wich W'ri long cooperated they manage to defeat the Lord of Crags. That victory earned her the reputation of "Warrior of Light ", legendary warrior who protects Eorzea in the name of Hydealyn; despite filling inadeguate for that role, she accepts it and in the end she succeded in stopping the plans for the invasion of Eorzea by GaiusVan Baelsar with his Ultima Weapon and then defeating the Ascian Lahabrea. But life is not all victories and honors, W'ri soon faces great difficulties: the loss of her father during the battle to defend the gates of Ishgard from the Dravanian forces, the betrayal of his comrades in arms, the Crystal Braves and in the end the escape to Coerthas after the infamous accusation of being the Sultana of Ul'dah assassin, throw her into a deep despair and sense of helplessness from which she only manages to escape thanks the help of her close friend Haurchefant Fortemps, who welcomes her and the survivor Scion to Ishgard. Once again she decides to help a foreign land that welcomed her in times of need, she embarks on a journey to end the age-old war between the hordes of Dravania's dragons and Ishgard. Accompanied by Alphinaud, Estinien and Ysayle, discovers the true nature of that war. During the first battle against the Great Wyrm Niddhog, W'ri was injured and contaminated with a potent poison, Y'shtola tries different kinds of treatments without success, then opt for a more drastic approach by using a powefull spell that acts directly on the aether of which the W'ri's body was composed, changing it's nature and making it more similar to a dragon, in doing so the poison was made ineffective; her body would no longer be the same, but her life was saved. Unfortunately, for a life saved others are lost, Haurchefant and Ysayle sacrifices themselves to allow W'ri to win her battle against the forces that were threatening once again to destroy Eorzea. Taken by anger and desire for revenge, she gave the final blow to the Archbishop Thordan VII. Though the sight of her friend, Estinien, subjugated by the anger, and the remembrance of the Haurchefant's words made her come back to her mind. After the final battle against Niddhog, she decided to put the past at her back, taking the path of the shinobi and dropping her Miqo'te 's name, normalizing it in Wahri.
