Millenias ago, far from the land of Eorzea, nay it's World a war had raged ferociously for eons ultimately consuming the world along with many of its inhabitants. It was not uncommon for the inhabitants to ascend to a higher plane and one such Ascended Soul, once powerful in life had escaped the inferno during one of the last days. Free of a physical self it wandered the empty - yet vast Darkness in the night sky - for decades. This Soul knew only pain and suffering, feelings that still lingered in him due to the memories of his fallen Home World. During the decades his heart became stone cold towards any living thing as they had once destroyed his home tormented by days long past.
In a fleeting moment of anger, he was caught by surprise of a new form of energy he had never encountered. Aether. The Aether interfered with the Soul's energy and to survive it the Soul sought refuge at a nearby World. This was nothing new to him, it had happened a few times before when he was new to wandering the great Darkness that new form of Energy would interfere with him and he had to absorb it thus growing stronger in order for him to move on. With this in mind, he searched for life. Intelligent life. He needed it. There was no other way of absorbing the new energy whilst surviving the attempt too. He sought the dark areas of the World in which he found a young Mi'Qote male of the Moon tribe. The subject would suffice for his purpose. In honor of his lost Home World and the eons since this apocalypse took it place he took the name Ashreon as his first name and Deathweaver as his surname for the time has come, yet again, to weave powerful magic to cause Death and Destruction.
