Born on the 2nd Sun of the 3rd Umbral Moon, and the progeny of a Duskwight; whom was a conjurer of the Seedseer Council, and an Ishgardian Elezen, whom later joined the Yellow Serpents. However when the rest of the council found that Rondelet's father was having an affair with a foreign Ishgardian, Kan-E-Senna granted him two options--Banishment from the council, and Gridania, or the expulsion of his lover. Now, Rondelet's mother, now banished from her home in Gridania, and sought to be a traitor of House Durendaire; due to leaving to join the Twin Adders, she has been left as a refugee in Ul'dah, where Little Ala Mhigo welcomes the lost.

Blessed by Thaliak, the Scholar, of the Twelve, Priorfaix was born with an abnormally high resistance and proficiency for magick, Priorfaix was cast out of Little Ala Mhigo for the thought of being a threat to the other refugees and civilians of the outpost.

Wandering the world, and generating a growing disdain for his father whom cast out Priofaix's then pregnant mother, Priorfaix finds himself at the Thaumaturge's Guild in Ul'dah, instead of the Duskwight tradition of joining the Conjurer's Guild in Gridania. Whilst there Priorfaix has excelled in the properties of magick, has freed the alchemist Cocobusi from the clutches of Mormo, with the aid of Guildmaster Cocobuki and the other guild affiliates, and was issued the title of Black Mage after an encounter with Ququruka himself.
