Was going through my old posts in search for reviews to add to the site and found what I wrote about the mobile version back in January 2022:
I rarely play on mobile, but sometimes, I do find something interesting and good and recently I found "My Little Universe". It is quite simple in style and design, but it has really good progression and exploration that keeps on giving (and that reminded me of Genshin Impact, but on a much-much smaller scale and with no climbing or stamina). There are these sphere like maps, made up of hexagons, that you unlock by gathering (and offering) certain resources. Those resources are used also to upgrade your gear, and they are generally gathered either by mining or chopping with occasional enemy killing. It is helluva grindy, won't like and if you do not buy the "no ads" thingy the ads may annoy you a bit, but most of the grind can be turned into "idle" by placing the character near the resource and letting him/her mine/chop it in the background (better plug your phone, though).
