Finnish VS Canadian residence

This September it will be exactly 3 years, that I am in Finland. Since for some reason I've been seeing dreams about Linus Media Group (and since Vancouver zoo has see otters 🦦) I looked into Canada laws about residency and citizenship.

So, firstly, I can get permanent residence permit right away, and I may be able to get it even as self-employed (the only thing I am lacking is proof of language skills, but I think it should not be that difficult for me to get appropriate grades in IELTS or something). Secondly, if I get this residence permit, and live in Canada for 3 years out of 5 I will be able to become a citizen.

What this means, if it's yet unclear to someone, is that in 3 years of living and working in Canada I can become a citizen, while in Finland I won't even get a permanent residency. And I would not even need to learn the language, because I already know it.

Not saying, that it's time for me to start actively looking for a job in Canada, especially since quality of food and healthcare is supposed to be a bit worse, but it makes one think. A lot. About sea otters in Vancouver zoo, who won't feed themselves, and they need that to be this adorable fluffy loafs they are. I mean, just look at them at live feeds here.
