
It's not particularly bad, but kind of bland, because it was clearly rushed. Character development is there and relationship development is there, but they feel "lax" or "loose" somehow, there is nothing really substantial backing them up, except over-dramatized slo-mo scenes. I believe that both relationship will end up relatively fast. 2 years each, at most.
But what I did not like way more is lack of proper backstory and then attempt to dramatize on that. Family drama has no substance, no real basis, only some cliched words, not meaning a thing in real life. It felt shallow and the ending which was triggered by that felt even more so.
I think this could work as a TV series with 12-13 episodes and proper cliffhangers, flashbacks and maybe some other tools. But as is - one-time watch. Honorary mention.
