Just a few first seconds if introduction told me I will drop it: no proper explanation why tribes appeared (too generic, do not seem to solve any problems), nothing about how they became big enough for government to start to care, let alone get involved, when they were created to change the government (or it sounded like), and why the hell would government introduce baseball to solve no idea what? And why baseball specifically? Why not sumo or kendo or whatever?..
Anime is probably aimed at those who like these character designs. Personally, I do not, since they are screaming "I want to be unique, but don't really know how, because I lack personality".
