The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep

I guess Japanese animation has spoiled me. And Arcane, too. This one felt very cheap to me. The mouths' animation felt especially so with just very quick closing and opening, which did even try to match the spoken words. Japanese know that their anime may get dubs, and still do animate properly. Arcane has several dubs, last time I checked - still animated lips properly.

But it's not just lips-syncing. Even the very first fight felt... Meh. It felt like it did not have weight. I know that Geralt from books is supposed to be an acrobat, and I am definitely not expecting him to feel as "heavy" as Batman from Arkham games trilogy, but this one felt more like Spider-Man, and his strikes looked very light. You can find videos explaining what makes a good fight in animation, and they all basically lean to the same thing: "weight". They may call it slightly differently, but essentially it's the feeling of impact from each strike, even when there is none (opponent is just too strong). Or the "danger" of the fight.

Maybe it gets better, but 15 minutes or so were enough for me. I am giving it 1 extra start just for proper Geralt's voice.
