It's strange to say this, but it feels more "Disney" than any actual Disney production in past decade, if not two. Even though this show is definitely not for kids with nudity and gore. But something about it... Something about how it presents the story and the characters reminds me of the golden age Disney.
Characters, even the ones that are stereotypical at first glance have certain depth, and are not just the stereotype they may be representing. Characters do grow and change through-out the story, which also has great pacing to it, and touches on universal issues, that are still plaguing our society, and the most important theme - acceptance. Of oneself, of your circumstances, of your limitations, of your demons.
Great watch, really hope for the 2nd season.
