It surely was dragging its pace. I get it, the guy is depressed because his dog died 49 days ago, and maybe he does not have anyone else besides his childhood friend, who may not have been particularly supportive of him, and all that. I also get the point of adding the "moving on" theme into the story, that makes sense. But it did not need that much time to tell all that. If you felt that Living With My Step Sister was slow, this will feel even slower, because slowness is not moving the story or character, and it's not building the atmosphere either. It also felt quite conclusive to me, so not sure what's the point of more episodes of this.
