Whole episode is just a backdrop or something. Personally, I think it should have been a set of flashbacks through-out the series. As is - too long. I will give it a shot, but if dynamics will be the same in 2nd episode - definitely a drop.
Episode 2:
Too much useless bullshit. Dunno how this works in the manga (possibly fine, since manga is usually read faster than an episode is watched), but here it's just a waste of time. 1st episode could have been condensed in like 5 minutes tops, this one - maybe 10, since it did provide some lore.
Mushoku Tensei also was relatively slow in the first episodes, but there you were learning about the world along with Rudeus. Here the knowledge is downloaded into the character ala Matrix and there is not much "discovery" for the viewer.
So... Not going to waste my time further. The premise may be ok, but I do not like the execution.
