Why all of the characters have crazy, almost killer-like, eyes? In Russian we have a name for that translates into something like "mad herring" (by "herring" barrel-slated herring is meant).
Also 2 things, that seemed illogical to me:
- If the guy scored, they would have 1:1, which does not necessarily mean getting into nationals. I mean, maybe they had a high enough score, that a draw was enough? But then, why was their goalie so lax, if it was important to them to not miss?
- How come they did not know they will not be allowed home before coming? Legally that would be equal to kidnapping. They should have known that beforehand.
