Episode 3:
Bubaigawara was truly one of the best (if not the best) characters in the series. His story in manga was quite impactful, and I am glad, that anime adaptation honored it enough. It was really heart-breaking to see him go. Maybe because, as Hawks said, he was a good person.
Episode 8:
Love the series or hate it, you can't deny, it can build up and maintain tension really good, even though you know that everything will end ok (mostly).
Episode 9:
I think anime portrayed Bakugo's growth (or more like maturity) much better than the manga. At least, as far as I remember in manga it felt more like an afterthought or a coincidence with very little weight behind it. It can be just the voice-overs and the animation of otherwise static images, and nothing else "special", but once again we can see how how a different format can make a story blossom more.
Episode 9:
Also there is something... Titillating about Ochako's hair during the flashback in the episode. It somehow makes her look like "the girl next door" or something.
Episode 22:
Another case of Hero Academia showing how change of media can make things more impactful. In manga you could not really feel that much change in Deku from the burden he was putting on himself. I mean, it was mostly the battered look of his costume and that's it. But in adaptation it's not just the looks, it's the tone of voice, the minute differences in posture and how he moves... Lots of small things combine together to make you feel: it is heavy. It is literally crushing him. And yet he is like a junkie clinging to the feeling of being crushed. Only an intervention can help him.
