I have 1 problem with the show: it is very difficult to differentiate between children here, if they have somewhat similar hair length and age. Haruki looked very similar to Maru in some shots.

Also, I am pretty sure, I heard a gunshot, so the sister was probably shot by the doc. Why - no idea. But I doubt it's because she wanted to save her brother.

Also, now that I think about it, Maru's "twin" at school looks more like a girl to me.

Firstly, why did they need to jump of that pillar, if there was a ladder nearby? Or something that clearly could be used as on. In fact i clearly went higher, so maybe they could have gone there.

Secondly, a thought occurred to me: what if Kiruko is still Kiriko? What if whatever the doctor did merged not the "souls" or "personalities", but just memories and Kiriko's original ones are somehow suppressed? I am thinking that this can be a possibility, because Haruki was a boy, right, but Kiruko is reacting girly towards Maru, and there is clearly some level of attraction. Yes, there is possibility that Haruki was gay or bi or whatever, but objectively it the probability is low. So maybe the attraction is from Kiriko?

Thirdly, I think Maru was able to use his touch on a humman because of extreme excitement. Perhaps excitement is key, in general, because he is clearly excited during fight with man-eaters.

Very powerful episode.

I would not have high hopes for Robin being alive, if I was Kiruko, since he was seen 2 years ago, and a lot could have happened, but most likely he will be alive, indeed. Probably with that doctor, and will be a mediator between Kiruko and the doctor.

Post-credit scene is... Weird. It's clear that it was not a dream, but then what was the point of it all? I do not think it moved the plot anywhere, really. Unless the girl saw Hoshio somehow? Because I have a strong feeling, that Hoshio was from the facility.

So... Everyone was just cool with the kid being a man-eater?..

It was obvious that nothing good would come out of Robin, when they showed his first reaction to meeting Haruki. He needs to die the next episode.

Guess my assumption, that Kiruko has memories of both siblings was correct.

I wonder, though, did they downplay the abuse that was clearly going for 2 days? The recovery is too fast, IMHO. And also Kiruko was able to free herself, when Maru came, and the door was not locked, so... She was not really imprisoned? Something is off here.
