Feels quite a bit overhyped. This movie certainly knows how to build some good atmosphere. It feels kind of sticky, but fluid enough to keep watching. It manages to be both slow and fast at the same time: very little seem to be going on, but at the same time lots of things. Not even sure how to explain this, I guess you need to experience it for yourself.

The tone in the 2nd part of the movie changes. Or rather it feels like it changes, and other reviewers have noticed this as well. But I think it's just that they ran out of time. Yes, even with the movie being over 3 hours it still managed to run out of time.

You can notice some signs of this in the 1st half as well, but in the 2nd one some cuts and time skips become too obvious. Like, they are not there for some artistic purpose, but only to discard pieces of content. Some say it adds "mystery", but it really does not. To me it feels haphazard. If this was a TV show - they would have more time, and they could have show the downward spiral of the character(s).

Speaking of spirals - it's not that good as a social commentary, too. Yes, it touches on some sensitive topics, and even on the "underbelly of America's prosperity", but... Real life can be much darker and heavier, while also being much  more satirical of itself, which was proven on February 28th, 2025. Again, maybe if this was a TV show, it could have been structured better, stuff would not be thrown out, and the overall message would be stronger, but we have what we have. And what we have is not something, that will be remembered much down the line.
