The general concept is interesting. I mean magic girls, but in a world where there are lots of magic girls, and they use tech (apparently) - that's intriguing. But fights felt lackluster, and everything else felt as depressing as Kana was. On one hand, maybe it's good, since it delivered the appropriate feeling, but the change from depressive mode to exciting mode did not feel as much. Even Acro Trip was better in that regard.

The concept was also underdeveloped from the start. The fact the civilians had to choose a company, and find whom to call - that's stupid in a world like this, since it's just inefficient, to say the least. A style from Hero Academia would make much more sense here. Unless all monsters are as passive as the ice one. I mean it looked cool (and music was decent), but they did not need to search for 2nd magical girl if the monster was just chilling there (pun intended). At the same time, we were told, that there a system to communicate between the companies, so it's a contradiction.

Not the only contradiction, mind you. The magical girl also showed herself as incompetent, while also showing she is a professional (mostly). I mean, let's pretend that an app to control her magic makes sense, and think about why would she not double-check the settings before she stepped in, if she already wasted time contemplating, whether she should wait or not? At the same time, the way she handled the boring fight did feel professional to me.

I dunno. Just looks like it's not executed that well. Perhaps the goal is to show more of that director in magical girl's suit? There was too much of him in the OP, so maybe he is the main attraction?
