Shakira was right: the hips do not lie.
I mean, this was a good movie. Good animation, good music (although I am not a fan of Elton John), but most importantly a good story. You probably can find some things to nitpick, but at least it has clear beginning, clear middle with good progression for multiple characters, and clear end. The plot "twists" are simple, but effective. Overall it has a very good balance: it knows when to make jokes (which are context-appropriate), and when to talk serious. Of course, it's not getting too deep with serious topics, but still. It even has a proper moral, unlike modern sequels of sequels. I enjoyed it as one-time watch, and will probably understand the memes a bit better now.
