School system here does not make sense. Why are only Ma-gumi can become magicians? Oh, right, they actually kind of say that in 2nd episode at least: they are state magicians, not just magicians. Which makes sense. But then why everyone in that class is selected from the general pool and has to become a state magician even if they do not want to? Why can't you be a magician while not being a state one? Why are people coming for standard course with hopes to become opera singer, cook or whatever, if that standard course does not seem to be specializing on those? On anything really.
Why is the girl does not know that a book she had was an archive used by magicians? Did not she open it at any point in time? If she was aiming for Ma-gumi, would not she know that graduates of Ma-gumi use those? Why did it have to be that school specifically? Could she have tried some other school? There were some comments, that indicated, that there may be others, after all. Even if she did not get a teacher, that was aiming to make her a magician, would not she be one by definition, since she can use magic already? Or is it that they can't unless they have a book? But then, how exactly was she preparing for Ma-gumi?
So many questions, so little answers. Not sticking to find out the answers, though.
