Why was there hype around this before? Or was it that I just wanted to see one of my favorite redheads (Aya Cash)? It felt like I saw some marketing, that was suggesting, that this will be some top-level comedy, but I did not feel the comedy, while watching. I saw clues, that what's happening is supposed to be funny, but it was not funny for me at all. Maybe I need to be from the industry? My experience is limited to school (and kindergarten) theatre, so maybe that's not enough to get all the humor?

This also does not make much sense from perspective of a large franchise. At least from how I expect things to work. Yes, some unexpected changes can happen, but such drastic changes, as suggested in the 1st episode?.. Not buying it. If 2 movies are being shot at once, and they are supposed to be connected, it makes total sense to have tight collaboration, and ensure that continuity is properly established and maintained. But maybe I am just too logical compared to modern moviemakers.

Overall, it just felt boring, and forced, and not very interesting. I think Seth MacFarlane could have done something better, considering how The Orville is both a parody, a social commentary and completely standalone unique story and universe. And it's way funnier even in its serious moments. Even Aya can't save this show in my eyes.
