Is this supposed to be connected to some other story or franchise? Not just because the name (Another Journey To The West) implies it, but in general? It felt like they were laying "mysterious" on anything and everything, not explaining anything in any way. Nothing was explained at all within 2 episodes, and it does not look like they plan to do that. Characters' motivations are unclear, people are weird, as well. I mean, why would they close the investigation, after they found only 1 child out of whatever number of children was lost? It does not make sense. Visually it looks good, girls would definitely like the "monk" guy. Turtle also looked kind of cool. Was difficult to read subtitles, though, since they were flashing too fast at times.
