It's not as bad as everyone predicted. Definitely better than Secret Invasion. But still not really that good.

The show does have some good moments, 1st episode had some interesting "hooks" in it, for example. Plaza was great, and I'd say we needed more of her. I guess, in general, I can say that actors did their work good. The special effects also were decent, not like what She-Hulk had (strange, that I did not find my review of it, although I am pretty sure I did review it). But the story...

I mean, what was really the point of the show? And of all the characters, really, none of which ended up relatable or likeable. I guess they wanted to turned Agatha into another Loki, but they missed the mark completely. Yes, Agatha had some past trauma, but it did not feel like it was enough to make her "bad", while we could be sympathetic to Loki, because he continuedly suffered abuse from his family in some way or form. But what's more important he was actually evolving as a character, showing how complex he is it behind the trickster mask.

Agatha, though? She did not evolve in any way. She was a bitch, and remained a bitch for the sake of being a bitch. The ending tried to soften her through maternal instinct, which felt utterly cheap and unbelievable. What's worse, the show did not do much for the MCU as a whole, either. I mean, ok, not all TV shows were meant to do that (Runaways or Cloak And Dagger), but they were fun self-sufficent stories. This one was just trying to built upon Wanda's success, while going in completely different direction.

Furthermore, they completely wasted the opportunity to make this as mind-bending as Legion was. Heck, heck, they could have made a short cross-over even, since Plaza was in that one, too. There were some "weird" moments in this show, yes, but they felt tame. "Safe". Maybe they wanted the story to be more like a fairy-tale, though, I dunno. But fairy-tales have a moral, which is usually because there is a clear villain, even if difference between good and evil may not be obvious. This one has no real villain and no moral, unless you can treat "Marvel sucks as stories nowadays" as one.
