It started quite slow. I had to push myself through it a little bit. Possibly because of non-linear narrative. I am not sure it works that well here, at least not the way it was used. But the end of the episode was quite good. I am not sure if this is worth a 12 episode, though. So far this story feels like something more suitable for a movie. Maybe 2 hours long movie, which would translate into 6 episodes. But will give it a chance. It is often interesting to see how "gentle pushing" can help a flower bloom.

One burning question though: why does everyone have yellow eyes? Is this intentional? I at first thought it was something with my tablet screen, but no, checked it on other device - they are all yellow. I would have understood if the guy's or the girl's (maybe both) eyes were yellow, but all of them?

Episode 2:

I do not like this Kai. He somehow gives me a vibe of manipulator, that is trying to not look like a manipulator. I know that in my previous post I was thinking that there is "gentle pushing", but this episode did not feel like that. It was "I will do stuff indirectly, because I do not want to get involved". At the same time there are moments when he can look kind of "sweet", but these moments feel fake to me because of those "manipulator-like" moments. Just rubs me the wrong way, will  not continue, even though I will admit that Uka needs to be cherished.
