I think "Peacemaker" TV series proves once again, that DCEU filmmakers need to embrace the comics wackiness, because when they do - it works out properly. This is essentially what MCU has been doing from the start (except for a couple of installations, that were relatively dark, and there it made sense). And it's not like "Peacemaker" was all giggles - it did touch on some serious subjects and the main character showed to have more than just one side to him.
